I'm the only child and my parents are older and out of touch with the ways of younger blacks. I 100% agree

but in this case...the mother should have known better rather than sleeping with another man who didn't plan on taking care of his child, especially when she had a teenage son already. I pay some of my mom's bills, take her out to lunch at least once-twice a month, talk on the phone occasionally, but other than that, we have a normal, loving relationship.
