Ehh, doesn't really matter. Everyone that gets their jersey retired doesn't get a statue. So the OP is correct IMO. Kobe will get a statue before Shaq. Shaq probably won't get one at all.

Kobe has several statutes. He leaves them on the defensive end of the floor.
Kobe played 17 years only for the Lakers vs 8 for Shaq and not his only team. I could see Kobe getting a statue before Shaq
