Isn't this the same year drop it like it's hot came out? This was 05.

Thats exactly why there was a Snoop feature over a Neptunes beat at the time on a Beanie Sigel album...

Time, focus and momentum is a bytch tho

Beanie came back in 07’ and was looking and sounding like a relic at that point and it was over. The Solution was forgettable

It’s a shame Beans didn’t have the focus like Freeway did on music because he really could’ve have a better run in the game

Who you reckon had a better run overall ? Think Free may have 3 doper albums VS 3 Beans albums but would still give it to Mack Mittens... i think

If you asked me this in real time, I would’ve said Beanie and that was cause I was a bigger fan of his

But with time and space away from those albums and listening back to them again in recent years, I’d say it’s a draw

Freeway had the better debut album but Beanie had the better 3rd album, they both got 1 solo that’s really good and that’s it from their first 3 solos

Beans first two albums was wonky to me, they had songs but they clunkers too

He found his voice on the 3rd joint

Free’s debut was on point; the second 2 were much like Beanie’s first 2, some good songs but some clunkers too.

But out of all them State Property, Free the only one who remained focused on the music and continued to thrive while the rest of them stumbled and fumbled.

Damn for some reason I been reading this thread thinking it was about the reason :snoop:

I won’t take back my daps but I don’t think it’s a classic. I would say it’s arguably his best album after the reason. Flatline is goated tho

I feel like you can put beans first 3 albums against any top rapper first three, underrated run

Love State Property. Was in college in Philly at the time they were at their peak. Love them and the music. Agree with you. Funny cause Young Gunz debut was even better than Free’s to me. With that said, The B. Coming is one of the best album released by roc a fella. No promo either but that shyt deserved better
