I'd say All That I Got Is You is a little bit more of a sad song, with a classic R&B hook. Perfect song.

Same with Where Have U Been, but that's more of an angry vibe. Like you can feel the hate in Beans verse, and even in Jay's verse, he's doing the slick talking shyt, but even the "fukk you very much you showed me the worst kind of pain"....you can feel the anger there.

They're both emotional songs but totally different vibes IMO.

Lol I figured you'd come in for Sigel. My girl heard me listening to it one night and I was just sitting there like :mjcry:

She was like "Why are you listening to this? This is so harsh." :merchant:

:wow:

yeah her moms had her when she was like 18, and her old man was a deadbeat. I guess the emotions from beans overtook her at the moment.

Damn...yeah that verse is so hard I bet it could damn near make PTSD surface.

I hope she's okay. That shyt will scar people for life. :to:

My dad was a good dad, but his dad was fukking crazy. He died in jail right before I was born, and used to do insane stuff like putting a shotgun to my dad's head when he was a kid, and he would always lock my dad and my grandma out of the house in the dead of winter and fukked up stuff like that. Real thankful to my dad for doing his best with a shytty example of how to be a father. Old man turned 60 today actually. :smugdraper:

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
all I know is my ex cried once while listening to that beans verse.
shyt almost had me like :wow: a few times... and i have my dad in my life so i don't even know where it came from... you can just FEEL beans pain. that's such a forgotten quality, being able to make someone else feel what you feel through rap. beans is one of the best at that

This is tough for me. Beans verse on Where have You Been is brilliant. What he's saying and the emotion displayed is one of the finer moments in the Roc's reign and definitely the best on that Dynasty album. That said I still would probably give it to Ghost on All That I Got is You. That song reminds me so much of the struggle me and my brother and sisters had growing up in the projects.
