its hard to judge this team at this time. i see both sides on the lovie issue. and 2 mill aint too bad for a aging line backer who has been injured and production aint been up to par
same time, we have to question that leadership in the locker room. i dont know if this new coach will command the attention of these dudes like lovie did. and if we planning on putting the keys of leadership in the hands of cutler, we might be going backwards.
but we have not made the playoffs in a couple seasons, i know about the injuries, but everybody has dealt with injuries, and emery has made good moves, so if he feels its time to move on, i dont know how i can go against that.

exactly, and for a team circling around being mediocre, regardless of the circumstance, this team just flat out didnt get it done
so if changes gotta be made, then so be it. if it fails, we can look back in hindsight and say this didnt work

$2M is a lot to pay for a motivational leader if he can't play. I'm fine with dude leaving as the bears were more than fair with him and the deal they offered IMO. especially given his injuries history and play the last couple years.
Personally, I dont think he will find a team that is gonna offer him more than that.

The whole team is over-rated, from the QB to the defense and so on and so forth.
Bears showed they were a defense who feasted on bad teams, good teams made them look JV level.
I agree that Smith shouldn't have gotten all the blame, the QB is a loser and he deserves a lot of it.
