With red, white and blue confetti flickering and fluttering in
the air after the game, Rasheed Wallace and Hamilton jumped atop
the scorer's table and celebrated with the fans.

They responded by chanting: "Beat L.A.! Beat L.A!"

"A lot of people don't expect us to win, but in our minds and
in our hearts, we feel like we're going to win a championship,"
Detroit's Corliss Williamson said.:wow:

born and raised in L.A. , it was nothing being a little kid in the mid to late 80s when we will dominate sports and teams fans would yell it.... haven't heard that much of the chat unless the dodgers play san fran

the 90s was lit on the west coast when LA natives live in places like arizona or norcal, because it would be fights

dodgers winning in 81 and 88

lakers winning in 80, 82, 85, 87, 88

raiders winning the superbowl in 83

The origin of the chant is legit GOAT. Your greatest rival chanting "beat LA" to the team that's eliminating them because they'd rather have a division rival win the championship than the Lakers. :wow:
