Dorothy Dandridge was fine. I can do without the shucking and jiving from the dude though but I'm willing to look past it because the song is catchy and I can just look at Dorothy :takedat:

Kids playing in the streets (1948). What always amazes me about watching these videos is that there was a lot more intermingling of races back then than we usually think.

Looking at older videos also helps you remember that outside of style and some attitudes, we've remained the same still. A lot of the people in the background of this clip could easily be folks I've met in my life with different haircuts and styling.

Videos, especially with color, of the past give the people more life than looking at still black and white photographs.
