You will have all of the tax privileges as a CPA or Tax Lawyer without having to go to college.

I make an extra 20k - 30k a year doing it part time.

And it's recession proof :wow:

Once you get that under your belt, you can add certified bookkeeper to your arsenal and you'll easily be a 6 figure self employed breh in no time :blessed:

Not a lot of people know about this. Plus most EAs are old and dying off. 2 months studying, three exams, then bank.

It's easy money. You can still make money doing taxes by just getting an EFIN, but with the EA designation you can charge more and find clients year round as a tax advisory.

I got 5 clients that got me on a retainer at $250 per month in addition to billing them for every little thing.

FYI, you can also add certified bookkeeper to your portfolio for the low as well. Add in payroll/hr and then you can hire employees or outsource/subcontract.

Some people go for the QuickBooks Pro Advisor certification as well but, a lot of companies don’t use it.

it wasn’t too hard for me. It’s 3 exams.

when I took them in 2014, I studied for 2 months before I took part 1. I took part 2 and 3 back to back so I studied for 5 months before I took them. Part 2 is the hardest one.

And since so much tax law changes from one year to the next, you definitely want to try to take all 3 within one cycle. Testing is from may - feb.
