Amazing how Bischoff actually was building up the evil boss gimmick before Vince could even portray such a character. Sure McMemphis happened, but it was a cross promotion type of thing (never happened in the WWF until 1997). It really dawn on me that WCW always getting shytted on but were innovators despite WWE's revisionist history:

  • Wargames=Hell in a Cell (As far as settling a long time feud in a cell)
  • Starrcade= Wrestlemania
  • NWO= All of those b tier stables (ala gang warz Survivor Series)
  • Cruiserweight Championship= WWF Lightweight Championship

:hubie:I'm just saying TSC...the hard cold facts that WCW Lives Forever:banderas:

WCW were the innovators in many aspects but everything they started, WWE did it better (apart from the cruiserweight decision)

Vinny Mac>>Bischoff
Attitude Era>>Edginess of WCW
DX>>>NWO
Superior second show i.e. Smackdown>>> Thunder

You ain’t lyin :manny:

tbh, I don’t think bischoff gets enough credit for creating the evil authority figure character

Dude epitomizes the cowardly shyt bird boss to a tee. Which drew more heat compared to Mcmsahon, which was more overly aggressive and that made folks want more of Austin vs Mcmahon, instead of the fans wanting Austin to murder Mcmahon. Huge difference. Bischoff made not only fans want to strangle his ass, but wrestlers as well. Hell, Piper in that segment was close to laying hands on Bischoff to the point of even swearing on Turner's time, which was a big no no for the imagine they portrayed.

Your only thinking about nwo when it first started with Hall, nash and hogan. Im talking about both groups as a whole so you have to include all the wack off shoots of nwo and all the ridiculous members they had

I think it's because Bischoff wasn't the owner like Vince is. It was shortly before the Montreal Screw Job that the WWF revealed that Vince was the owner and an owner will always make a better villain than a guy who just works for the company because that guy could always be fired. Plus Eric was very sneaky in his takeover and betrayal which draws more heat to a heel than just a fed up owner. If look at it realistically Austin provoked Vince not the other way around.
