So underrated. Lets face it, a lot of times, the default assumption is that you're stupid. Not just by white people, but by other black folks too. Especially old black folks. The look on their face when they find out you're in an engineering field is priceless.

No, I think that is your outlook on people because of your past experiences.

If you grow up meeting and knowing smart black people, then this is not the default assumption. I'm not surprised when I see people like Condolezza Rice, Barack Obama, Colin Powell and others in positions where we expect that person to be of high intellect.
