The "tough love" issue...
They are just crazy overprotective for the wrong reasons, concerning talking to them about it. I'd discuss it with your bro about how you managed it and what could happen socially since you said you talked to your parents about it a few times. It seems like they aren't budging.

Yeah that's what it's called, "tough love", I knew there was a name for it.
I'm gonna talk to him when he gets a little bit older, issue is, he's the type to believe that my parents can do no wrong. That may be an issue...
As long as he knows before it all comes crashing down so that way he can deal with it to the best of his ability he will be fine.

It funny tho when we lived in the projects she would not care about us going outside running around. Where corner boys and junkies and drugs laid on the ground
Soon as we moved to the burbs it was no you can't go outside ,no you cant go over that person house, no you cant go to that party, them white ppl is evil they will kidnap you and rape you then eat you then hide you bones under there front lawn.
She made me a loner and to some point i am to this day. Don't really fukk with ppl outside of work or sports.

Yo! That's another thing! When we first moved to the suburbs, we could've actually lived in an even better area of Dallas, but my mother said she was afraid that if we lived around a mostly white area we'd get lynched.
