Being infatuated un appreciation

Just started going through this with a girl I recently met. She's the type I usually go for and I just took a quick liking to her. I started to back off though because I found out a couple of things about her that let me know my chance to be anything more than friends is almost zero percent.
But it didn't last long. She always compliments me, makes me feel like I'm the funniest guy in the world, and makes a big deal out of the small things that I do and other things. She constantly on my mind and it's great, yet horrible because I can just see it ending up very badly.
