I know people give Vlad flack but this discussion they are having about living thru the dot com crash in 2000 and living thru the housing market crash of 08 to learn from those experiences to set yourself up for protection in future economic crashes is pretty deep.

I was in college during the dot com crash but I literally changed my whole life after that 08 housing crash. I was struggling that whole time and when I finally recovered I was so scared of going thru that again I've been living below my means stacking bread ever since.

Same apartment, scared to move into a bigger place and some shyt happens again.

Living through some major shyt (9/11, 2000 - 2002 tech bust, '08 housing crisis and now Rona), has kept a breh humble and fiscally mindful. I don't mind getting older because you're getting better.
