Making rational, logical arguments as a child only to be shut down by an adult who says "you're a kid, you don't know how the world works" or "because i said so"

Being a climate scientist calmly explaining how if radical action isn't enacted right now humanity will go extinct only to be ignored because 'its too expensive' as if concepts like money and debt aren't fictions we've created to organize our society and can modify.

Being interrupted at the middle of your explanation by a chorus of employees that are dumber than you but are your supervisors.

Being a moron with a ton of money and influence probably the goat feeling. Head is empty so you're too stupid to even know what kinds of danger you and all those around you could be in.

Society rewards obedience, acquiescence and the most important:

Neveroutshinethemasterence.

Some people are just born (read conditioned) to shuck and jive and can happily compromise a certain silent something within which all posess but few feel. Some can't on general principle as the reward isn't worth the cost.

Patrice O'Neal was a great example of this because once you've expanded your scope and see the Game for what it really is and how you must voluntarily assume the position for "Foot on neck season" to even be a thing it makes it even harder to try and conform to anothers expectations the further you progress. Or don't.

It really highlights something altogether wicked about the nature of reality that is as invisible as water is to a fish for most people caught up in the stream of consciousness they call existence.
