I been unemployed for two months now and this is starting to suck ass. :to: Tired of applying for constant jobs that i'm either under or overqualified for and getting no call backs, even from my old employer who just let me go:why:. Got let go from my temp assignment for three weeks because of "performance" issues (:pacspit: at call centers in general). I have an interview with another major bank next week (Wells, BOA, US Bank) for a position that i'm kinda iffy on but I need this paper soon. My severance is only going to hold my down for another 2-3 months with unemployment benefits and i'm not trying to touch my IRA just to pay bills. Coli heads, what advice can you give someone who is going through with being unemployed in today's economy.

Have you tried applying in other cities?
I want to move to a warmer city (Cali, AZ or Florida) but i'm not going to move w/o a job line up. I could have went to Jacksonville, FL and still have my job but I was getting tired of the position (been doing it for about 3 years prior to being laid off). Also my line of business is getting rid of default mortgage loans so I didn't want to move to another state for a job that may be eliminated in a year or so anyway. Plus when I went to Jax for work, I didn't care for the city so I decided to stay in Columbus.

careerbuilder and recruiting agencies breh...especially if you have IT skills....DO NOT waste your time with local career fairs unless they are through a university...total waist of time...always have a link directly to your resume that is accessible form anywhere online...almost any job that's woth anything requires you to apply online now....keep a reference of all online applications and related passwords for following up and applying for multiple roles...good luck
