When white liberals start being flagrantly racist is when black people need to get worried. That will be the sign that things have changed for the worse. As the push for reparations intensifies, it is all but an inevitability. 
You're not making your case. Quite frankly, the overt racism since the election of Donald Trump has gotten worse. The people in your OP stated this. They didn't say racism was way worse than any other time in history. One person said it appears worse than it was say 10 years ago. I've got to agree.
All the rising of the far right not just in the United States but in other countries like Italy, France, Brazil, UK, Poland, UK, etc is all built on the back of pumping up white resentment and racism. It's not to say, it never existed or there weren't points in history it was worse. But like the person in your OP said there has been a marked change in the normalization of the shyt compared to RECENT memory.
