That's not how basketball works.

It is in this case. Mitchell's scoring and impact on the game is great but Simmons has a similar impact with his defense, passing and pace. Plus I already know you don't respect point guards that don't score.

Nah, Simmons isn't averaging 20ppg without Embiid out there to draw defenders or space the floor for him, what Mitchell is doing is every bit as impressive if not more so than Simmons. The Jazz are asking Mitchell to be their number 1 option and he's doing it as a rookie with very high efficiency, there's no way Simmons would be able to score 20ppg efficiently and helping the Jazz win, he has too many flaws on offense to do that.

The Sixers live and die with Embiid, they are 25-17 with him in the lineup, Simmons has been good but the last 2 months for Mitchell has been better, especially when you consider that he has been the man for the Jazz, while Simmons has been the sidekick to Embiid.

I agree he's been great and impressive, but he is being put in the position succeed. He has a good team around him and a good system. Y'all are penalizing Simmons for having a worst coach and a better star player while having similar duties. How many point guards have come into the league and day 1 been good. It's few and far in between. Of course he needs certain players around him but I think Mitchell is being propped up by the players around him as well. I like both a lot but just don't see why Simmons deserves the slander he gets. Simmons literally was driving to the basket at will on Liggins who is a great defender.
