He's definitely up there..but they didn't really start pushing the whole "Core 4" thing until around 09, when those 4 were the last ones left from the dynasty, and won one last ring together..If Bernie stuck around til then he'd obviously be included

he helped out on the Yankees but wasn't a major factor
he was probably steinbrenners favorite player
