Besides complaining, what do you actually do to empower the black community?

OP I comment on forums and call black men sell outs and black women bedwenches. I also make threads saying how older black people did nothing and should not be listened to.

I also hate on single black mothers and wish them bad luck.

How is that not helping and empowering the black community......:yeshrug::lolbron:

I volunteer to clean up the community (trash pickup, graffiti cleaning etc.)
I've spoken at a local church (not that I'm a church goer and I'm not saying anything about anyone who is :whoa:) to young black men about their future and what they can make of themselves
I've sponsored one kid playing pop warner football each year for the last 9 years or so (and I helped my original kid get his college scholarship :mjcry: :blessed:)
I'm a big brother in our chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters but recently I haven't been active one on one, but I work at a center 3-4 times per month and the kids know me

:yeshrug:

I'm working on a few black business ideas too...

I sponsor a kid through Children International, I mentor for a high school and I set up a mini-community for people to kick it on a regular basis.

Because majority of them don't live in the hood..

It's easy to comment on the hood and what needs to be done when u live outside of it...

I live in the hood but i honestly gave up on nikkas...

I used to work with young crips and bloods and try to stress education and leave the gang shyt alone, but when u live in a city and a area where u have the influences of gang life and thigs, yg and other rappers that positive shyt goes out the door on majority of the kids... It doesn't help that u have adults who haven't grown out of the shyt..

I just decided to do me and only help the few blacks who want to change

I had to learn this the hard way...

I've made plenty attempts to uplift others, steer them in the right direction, encouragement, helping when I can, hooking up jobs, working with kids, etc...

I had a friend who was a former goon... hooked him up with a local football league and even had him setup to try out for an Arena Football team at the time... but he kept getting into fights and talking about how he's too "real" for society, etc & he blew a few great opportunities...

I've learned a lot of people are just too stuck in their hood mentality & think nothing else is meant for them...
