Besides framerates, can you tell the difference between the PS4 Pro and OG PS4?

I'm copping the LG OLED TV and upgrading to the Pro didn't make sense before on a 1080p TV but now I want to give the Pro mode a try on UC 4 and the The Last of Us 2 which will probably look GOAT on it. But as a breh who's never played on ultra high settings on PC, is the picture quality discernibly different as you're playing or do you have to pause it and really take a hard look to appreciate it? I don't care about draw distances, just what's happening on the foreground. People who play on both, does it affect your enjoyment of games at all?

The differences that matter are reduced motion blur, more detailed or photorealistic textures, longer draw distances and smooth framerate. IMHO a game doesn't even have to be 4K to look good if it can at least nail those 4.

What you should be concerned about is not the system itself or even the TV, it's the games. Some developers aren't optimizing as well as they can for PS4 Pro

They usually have to dumb down to get things running adequately. With the pro modes, they don't have to make the same sacrifices as they have to with the OG since they have more power. The first thing they'll do is take out effects/lower the resolution, etc.

some developers aren't necessarily half-assing, they just aren't prioritizing updating their old PS4 games to use the Pros Boost Mode.

For example, Boost Mode increased the frame rate of some PS4 games but an older game like GTA 5 won't reap the benefits because Rockstar locked it to 30fps. Rockstar would have to send out an update for PS4 Pro users but they're probably prioritizing DLC and the new Red Dead Redemption instead.

You know, I remember a time not too long ago when Battlefield 4 was 900p and nikkaz acted like they could actually tell the difference between that and 720p. We had heated debates on this very topic. Sony gamers claimed the early sales lead based SOLEY ON THAT FACT. I guess Xbox really is in position to win this gen!!!

If you got a 4k tv with upscaler you should tell the difference. The oled 4k tvs are the best out i would assume they have one. I got a 55in 4k tv with upscaler and the xbox one s that also upscales and shyt looking piff. I can only imagine what that oled looking like
