I beg to differ on Tha Carter. Wayne switched his flow on this shyt and became more relevant in the structure of hip hop with this album. He had already had some good moments like Tha Block Is Hot and Lights Out but Tha Carter was different, it was better, it was classic.

i liked the carter 1 alot but it isnt a classic. it was one of the IT albums of its time but its levels to this. not to mention, its a fraud album. gillie wrote alot of it and he was the one that switched wayne's flow. not wayne himself.

"lights out" was all about the beats.

I've heard about the Gillie da Kid writing Tha Carter and my only argument for that is that Wayne maintained that style atfer Gillie and Cash Money parted ways.

of course he maintained the style afterwards. thats what blew him up.

but where was the style beforehand? and why did his bars drop drastically after gillie left?

if youre familiar with gillie outside of just this scandal, then you should know the answer to this. i knew gillie wrote most of C1 just by the 3rd listen. long before gillie and cmr parted ways.
