Best app to video chat between Android and IOS

My son has an iPad and I have an Android phone and I'm simply trying to decide what the best cross platform video chat app is since we can't FaceTime. Was hoping someone had an idea before I download multiple apps on both devices and have to creat accounts and such. Thanks
