What has been the best 2025 debut

Some I can think of

Debuts I can think of:

thirteendegrees˚ - Clique City Vol. 2: Chicago rapper channeling things like bop/futuristic swag/young thug to make a very fun and catchy tape.

EsDeeKid - Rebel: scouse jerk rapper, really good album. wraith9 is a great producer.

1900Rugrat - Big Ah Kidz: white kid from florida who went viral this year for a freestyle. this had some good tracks (particularly the Rio one and the posse cut) but mostly just fine

BunnaB - Ice Cream Summer: Atlanta 2010s trap revival, super catchy. basically a precursor to what Metro Boomin would end up doing later in the year.

Mg Lil Bubba - Calm Before The Storm: rapper from Palestine, TX who's worked with everyone.

afrosurrealist - buy british: UK underground producer tape

Central Cee - CAN'T RUSH GREATNESS: UK drill rapper. super popular, not amazing at rapping, easy to hate. i had low expectations but i thought this album was a solid 6

Mel V - Chaponomical: rage rapper from texas

Montana 700 - 700 Reasons: "new dallas" rapper

diamond* - NO IDØLS: ATL underground rapper, signed to YSL maybe

Baby Osama - Enjoy the Ride: new york rapper, sometimes doing a sexy drill thing, other times not

Remble - JUCO: Southern California rapper. his mixtape from many years ago was very cool. this was fine.

Eem Triplin - Melody of a Memory: SoundCloud rapper melding influences like Tyler and the Neptunes into something pretty cool. decent production value. has some Clams Casino beats on it.

PayGotti - My Evil Thoughts: Stockton drill rapper

GELO - League of My Own: son/brother/basketball player from california that made a good louisana rap song but apparently didn't make an album full of them

Drexthejoint - The One Who Did: Southern california trap rapper, pretty good album. nice flow.

PLUTO - Both Ways: similar to bunnab but this album was not as good outside of the wonderful "Whimm Whammie"

Feng - What The Feng (technically an EP): a part of the "uk underground" scene. pretty cool tape.

Chy Cartier - No Bring Ins (Mixtape): a part of the "uk underground scene". fine tape.

SINN6R - 2Often: a part of the "uk underground scene". I haven't heard but I loved the followup

sosocamo - no service

Mark Lux - opened gates: southern california trap

Bri3 - 18

Nine Vicious - Tumblr Music: was/is signed to YSL,

Sturdyyoungin - Rookie of the Year: Philly club rap (?)

Kal Banx - RHODA: TDE producer drops a producer tape. stacked features. a good time

Lausse The Cat - The Mocking Stars: UK jazz rapper, dropped an EP in 2018 that's very beloved. new album is great

Zillionaire Doe - D Boi Dreams: "new dallas" rapper. Probably the best in the pack. Dropped his debut on Yo Gotti's CMG label this year.

HeadHuncho Amir - Still Ain Nun Bigger: another "new dallas" rapper who dropped their major label debut (this time it's 300) this year. not as good but some nice stuff in there.

Ray Vaughn - The Good The Bad The Dollar Menu: L.A. rapper signed to TDE

Venna - Malik: jazz album, features MIKE and Siifu

Everything is Psychedelic - The Beautiful Malaise: Tony Bontana side project with Psychedelic Ensemble

Haven’t listened to all these but Ray Vaughn album was pretty great.
Most posters who haven’t listened to a new artists album in a decade just gonna say there haven’t been any good new artists in that time.

These are the only ones I heard. I got Belly Gang Kushington - THE STREETS IS YOURS over all these

Out of those my favorites are diamond* and thirteendegrees˚. diamond* and Tezzus got one of the hardest songs of the year. Thug got something with these 2 :obama:
