What's the best exhaust system in terms of sound and performance.

I heard that flowmaster 40 series the other day and was really impressed.

Personally I like that deep American muscle sound not that Japanese tuner shyt

depends on the car, flowmaster sound good overall but flow the worse compared to other mufflers such as magnaflow, borla, corsa or hooker.

flowmasters are chambered mufflers, the others are straight through design. flowmasters make the airflow bounce off sections inside the muffler which is how it produces it sound. reducing flow.

borla: notice you can see through the muffler, no resistance.

flowmaster:

the flows are still better than stock, but the other mufflers are bettter for performance.

This is completely and utterly car dependent. For most American V8s I prefer Borla. Had a Corsa exhaust on my srt8 and hated it, sounded like a wannabe Euro.

No car just yet. I been car shopping for a 4th gen monte ss.


I was ca c*nt hair away fom buying a 85 el camino ss but the guy sold it .

I'm definitely getting something like a 70s camaro 80s monte or 94-96 impala tho.

I'm in talks with this monte right here but this nikka is going on a trip

Blowmaster is pretty good for sound but not for power. That 10 series would get annoying after awhile IMO. The 40 series is good though.
