Best/Favorite Horror Franchise?

I'm rewatching the Saw Franchise and while the kills and editing are fukking absurd, I gotta give it to them. As an overall story this might be the best Horror franchise I've seen.

As ridiculous as they are, the main storyline ties together outside of that awful Chris Rock movie Spiral

Since a new Evil Dead is releasing next year. I’ll remind y’all that the Evil Dead franchise. Is one of the most consistently good horror franchise in the genre. The OG trilogy good, the remake good, the TV show good, and Rise good. Hopefully Burn keeps the tradition.

The Evil Dead franchise is shytting on yo favorites. 2nd place goes to the Scream franchise.

Honorable mentions:
The Shining and Doctor Sleep are two for two with straight up classics imo, but nothing else unless you count the terrible remake.

The Exorcist series has all-timer peaks; some mids with Domininion and the Beginning; and absolute bottom outs with Exorcist 2 and Believer

Halloween, Elm Street and Friday all have cases; but I done series rewatches and I'd skip a lot of the movies in their series.
Scream has a good case.

Living Dead movies probably belong, but I'm not a big zombies guy.

Bottom Five:
1. The Strangers remakes are a black mark on horror.
2. Hell Raiser has three good movies, one middling remake, and a lot of hot garbage to trudge through.
3. If you limit the Conjuring to just the namesake movies, it's a great series. But if you add in the expanded universe, it's repetitive jump scare slop.
4. There's one go Amityville Horror movie, and more Amityville sequels than anyone wants to remember.
5. Resident Evil...so much potential, and they made a complete mess of it all.
