Best Produced Hip Hop Album - 2000

I've tried to listen to that album a couple times and just couldn't make it past one track.

Can you recommend the two best beats on that entire album? The undeniable banging shyt? Thank you!

TBH. It's not that type of album, the only track that would be close to a banger is Positive Contact

but these are the best tracks though even that is subjective because I think the album is meant to be listened to as a complete experience. There are very few albums that do this well but this is one of them

First of I must say that Snoops “The Last Meal” is being highly disrespected by not being included in the poll top to bottom fire ...what Dre did with those joints was some of his dopest shyt at the time ...Henn & Buddah



But moving on ...I had to vote for Tone ...the consistency of that production is just ... and it’s funny too because being a westsider I remember seeing the 4-1/2 or 5 mix source review as a youngster like 14 and being like ohhh damn I gotta check this out ... then I went to Virgin records and listened to it on the little listening station and I was like nikka what the fukk is this dusty ass east coast bullshyt ... shyt ain’t even got no bass and where is this old CAC broadcaster coming from ...FOH ...this overrated AF ....fukk THE SOURCE


Then as my ears evolved over the years ...my next door neighbor was all into that underground shyt and I heard him slapping the fukk outta the GhostDeni in his firebird with like 2 15’s and I was like who the fukk is that you playing bruh? And he was like you don’t know Ghostface Killah? And I was like yeah but nothing that hit hard like that ... so anyways he let me burn a copy and it was over from there .... my eyes were opened to the beauty of them dirty drums those grainy samples ...the transitions it just all hit me at once How Fire this shyt was ... I was sleep all these years now it’s damn near in my top 10
