I have come to the conclusion that Tevin Campbell's - Can We Talk? is the best R&B song i have ever heard.

Everything about this song is beautiful. The words, the build up, the hook, and goddammit his voice!

:dame:

Like come on. This shyt resonates within all of us. That one shorty we let walk pass us or we fukk up the first time we talk to the shorty. Then she ends up on ur mind and u practice what u gonna say the next time u see the shorty.

This song is a 90s hit master piece. Im sorry R. Kelly but Tevin Campbell got that hit.

That's tough
There were a lot of great and classic R&B songs in the 90's
Impossible to pick just 1
But for the sake of this thread, I'll pick this 1 by Jodeci

I have a tough one time picking my favorite song from an artist, so I wouldn’t be able to name the best of the decade

Some of my favorites:

Jodeci- Freek N You
Jodeci- Lately
Silk- Freak Me
Groove Theory- Tell Me
BBD- Poison
BBD- Do Me
Hi Five- Can’t Wait Another Minute
Boyz II Men- In the Still of the Night
Boyz II Men- It’s so Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday
Aaliyah- At Your Best
SWV- Always on My Mind
Mary J. Blige- Real Love

^^
Some really good remakes there. I also preferred K-Ci’s “If You think you’re lonely now” over Bobby Womack’s version, which was very good too.
