The way this tourney will go. I selected 8 singles from each year of the 1990s, from 1990-1999. Every year will get it's own thread. I was gonna make it 16 tracks and do an elimination thing, but that dilutes it a little bit. So I did a little ranking system to come up with these list, based off this board, my personal observations, and other list through the years.

Anyway, you vote for the song of each particular year in the poll. The song that wins, moves on to the next round. I ranked each year individually:

1 Seed: 1992
2 Seed: 1993

3 Seed: 1995
4 Seed: 1991
5 Seed: 1996
6 Seed: 1998
7 Seed: 1994
8 Seed: 1990
9 Seed: 1999
10 Seed: 1997

Winners of 1992 and 1993 get bye in the next round

After each of the 8 singles from each year finishes the polling, the winner moves on to go against a single from another year

So the seeding goes, the winner of the 1992 and 1993 years gets byes into the next round.

Have to ask..where is Can't Touch This?

I purposely left it off because I don't feel the quality is worth induction, even though it was by far the biggest song of the year.

I won't add it to the poll, but if it gets more write in votes then the other options, it will advance to the next round.

:comeon:

The usual suspects stay poppin' up to cape for the wackest nikkas in rap... yeah man, it's a conspiracy cause gotdamn MC Hammer ain't on it.

Keep tellin' y'all... white people, girls, people who didn't listen to the hard shyt, and lil' kids who wore British Knights loved MC Hammer's shyt. If you were really into hip-hop at the time, he was aiiight at best and wack at worst.

I mean. at least bring up NWA not bein' on here... HAMMER is the hill you wanna die on?
