That accent sounds even worse live on that Rap City freestyle 
Taking My Ball and Medicine Ball suck.
I've always loved that Microphone freestyle. Flawless flow/delivery - wish he would've done all of Relapse with that regular voice.

Lol. I don't see how you can appreciate the accent. No doubt that whole album would've been better with a more normal delivery. But I still like that album.

That bob song is better that I remembered, and yes I love most of the "accent" stuff, and for all the bytching about it back then, it's a whole lot of nikkas dikk riding rappers with the funny little vocal inflections, even Kendrick, Danny brown who is a fan of encore which is where he started playing with his voice.
3am wouldn't work if he rapped it like microphone, same with buffalo bill, he rhymed the word pills and the word "you" and made it sound seamless, remove the twang for a more regular voice and it falls apart and loses its entertainment value.

I disagree. The accent on Stay Wide Awake was damn near nonexistent and it worked just fine and is one of the best tracks on that album. The accent on 3am and some other tracks isn't horrible, but I still think it would've been better if it actually sounded more like regular Eminem. But on Buffalo Bill, Bagpipes, Medicine Ball, etc it's just waay overkill. Ideally he could've made a whole album of horrorcore/serial killer type stuff along the lines of Kill You, Kim, Watch Dees, American Psycho, These Drugs, Demon Inside type shyt.
The accent makes him sound like an Arabian serial killer. Doesn't make any sense and it comes of as clown-like.

As I try to imagine Relapse done in that voice I kind of lose interest.
When he gets to experimenting with his vocal inflections he sounds like he's having FUN to me and gives what he's saying character. He sounds serious and composed on this record, not deranged even though he's talking about some dark shyt. But it's just rapping, there's no theatrics. That's the pocket he should have been in for something like Recovery, buffalo bill....nah.
