Tobi was a great Peter terrible Spider-Man honestly :yeshrug: no quips, no Spidey personality whatsoever (even though 2 is still the GOAT Spider-Man movie well live action at least because Spiderverse might have the crown)

Garfield was the perfect Spider-Man but a :unimpressed: Peter

Tom has been great as both not a better Peter than Tobi or a better Spidey than Garfield but he’s the perfect balance of both.

I think the main problem with Toby was he played Peter as such a wimp that you can't even believe him as a charismatic, quippy Spider-Man. With Holland you can see he's a witty and talkative guy but its just hidden beneath anxiety. But Toby came off ass a wuss most of the time. I think somebody mentioned that Raimi modeled him too much after Clark Kent, which was a weird direction to take since Clark was Superman intentionally making himself dopey and unimpressive.

It was as if they made him a 1960s nerd stereotype.
