don't know your budget but:

don't buy a trailblazer unless its an SS.
older explorers are ok i guess, the new one are nice but fwd :scusthov: and AWD version might be out your price range.
09 and up Pilots are nice but priced a lil high to me and some are fwd :scusthov:
wouldn't buy an Envoy (its a trailblazer).

i would look at used late model Pathfinders over the ones you listed, just my opinion.

not really sure im starting to save now. ive heard 3-4 k should get a nice decent used SUV but iono how true that is. whats the issue wit fwd vs awd?:noshyt:
Not sure of your budget though. You said that $3-$4k should get you a decent used SUV but are you talking about putting that down on one? How much do you want your note to be? And then I guess you're looking for a mid-sized SUV. Explorers are cool, I guess Nissan Pathfinders are cool. Acura MDX's, Newer Jeep's are cool. But that's all I can think of right now.

Oh, alright well I would say anything by Honda or Nissan should last. I wouldn't get any Jeeps. Probably Ford should be alright. I wouldn't go with Dodge because I heard that the Durango's have horrible gas mileage. That's all I can think of at this point.

Not sure a 13 year old suv is what you should be looking at if you only got $4k to work with, unless you have several grand set aside for maintenance/repairs that are most likely going to be due. If you're real handy with the tools, and can do the work yourself then proceed. My recommendation is Infiniti QX4
