Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
lol @spb Morrows and Willie May (did I spell it right) were very good food spots. I also went to a Haitian restaurant at St Roch Market that had a Griot Po Boy sandwich

:ahh:

Frenchman Street was really my type of vibe with the live bands and outdoor art markets.

I did a lot of walking around and the city looks just like my moms city in Haiti called Cap Haitene.

Went to the voodoo museum. Not sure if it was a rip off cause that was the smallest museum I ever set foot in. Also the voodoo museum was filled with dollars and coins since the Cacs actually pray to spirits there and leave money.

:heh:

What is the name of the area that the St Roch Market and Morrows locates? I could see myself living in that area.

Riding the trolley through uptown close to the Loyola and Trulane University was dope. Trolley was moving funny tho. Thought it was about to break down at any moment

:scusthov:

The old money homes along St Charles are top notch architecture.

New Orleans has by far the most beautiful accents in the US.

I’ll be back next year!

P.S - the voodoo culture in New Orleans is probably one of my favorite lessons of the city.

Didn’t know a Rougarou was an urban legend in New Orleans. It was also an urban legend in Haiti also

That "Voodoo" museum you went to is for tourists. Even though they're walking distance from each other and on the same street, Morrows is in the marigny and St Roch market is in the St Roch neighborhood. Glad you enjoyed your stay bro I really wish more black people would visit/move down here.:salute:

Yes and yes. I took some videos while on the trolley. Houses were so beautiful. I know they cost an arm and a leg :mjcry:

That area between the market is st roch and marigny. Everything above st Claude is considered part of the st Roch neighbourhood. Anything below st Claude is considered the marigny

I actually do live in that area. Been living between both Marigny and St. Roch for at least the past 6 years

It’s all the 8 ward though until you cross Elysian Fields

Not sure if the dude was drunk or acting funny cause he was with girls but I almost got into an altercation with some dude at the rooftop bar called monkey board.

That’s about it.

Is it Haitain culture or just the same culture? It's disrespectful to put one over the other.

To me its just a twin city. Both had African, Spanish, and French, culture. N.O. just had the new U.S.A. culture added to it.
