I gotta go with Rey. He was a bigger draw/brought in more money and I enjoyed watching him more. Jericho will probably win because he's "the full package" and though he can cut a good promo, a lot of times his promos are really corny and bad comedy to me. Great worker, but Rey's better imo.

Rey's mark on the industry is underrated because he's such a humble guy, but he was more significant to wrestling than Jericho imo.

Can we let both of these guys through and eliminate Shawn Michaels so we don't have to hear any more garbage from his stanbase?

This is a push for me. Jericho's the better promo and more versatile character (and great in the ring in his prime), but Rey was such an innovator that his 96 matches STILL have spots and sequences that blow people's minds to this day. In addition, I always thought Rey was an underrated promo and babyface character. Sure, he's not a conventionally great promo or speaker, but he managed to be an excellent babyface character regardless (not just worker, but character). Beyond that, his promos always came off as completely believable to me after about 2005 or so; I never had to question whether Rey was nailing the right emotion or not in his promos (even if he could come off cheesy at times) and he always came off as the underdog babyface and caring family man he was booked as. When something hurt him in storyline, you felt his pain through his promos and body language. It's as much a reason why he was a popular babyface as the in-ring work itself.

Seriously, Jericho's gotten some truly absurd nonsense over in his career (he got a list over twice, he got a clipboard and pen over, he got champagne over, he got the word "it" over, he got the Nick Bockwinkel suited heel gimmick over to such an extent that the WWE spent 2-3 years trying to recreate 2008 Chris Jericho, etc.), but would that ridiculous sub-telenovela Dominic angle have gotten over half as well with anyone but earnest screwup father Rey Mysterio playing opposite Eddie? You have to give him some credit on that front.

Yeah, I'm fine with either of these guys going through. Argument's valid either way.

EDIT: Forgot about this- I've been taking a look at some post-Attitude Era WWE as of late (I'm at early 2012 now, and my GOD is it dire. I'd advocate for 75% of 2011 WWE tape to be completely wiped off the face of the Earth if not for CM Punk, Mark Henry, and, to a lesser extent, Randy Orton and Christian), and everyone voting should revisit the 2009 feud these two had. This includes the blowoff Mask vs. Title Lucha de Apuestas they had at The Bash that year, a legit Match of the Decade AND GOAT WWE match candidate that literally no one seems to talk about. Maybe Rey's best WWE performance ever, and Jericho's completely on game as the heel desperately trying to stay one step ahead of this very angry and determined luchador trying everything imaginable to keep his mask. For fukk's sake, the hard cam shakes so much during the match they can't even use it at times. THAT'S how hot this feud was. Truly great stuff.
