Tupac is one of my favorite cultural figures. i saw this interview before...I think.
The story of Tupac is what happens when young Black people think being this angry, aggressive, individual will protect them. You think it will protect you from racism. You think it will protect you from your own kind. You think it protect you from heartbreak and disappointment. But the aggression and anger you throw out there will just hurt you and isolate you in the long run.
If you listen to many interviews of Tupac...when he is not in character of the thug (cause it is most definitely an act...just like Biggie was an act...). I mean Tupac straight up said that he does it because it sells records in this interview. He also did it because he wanted to be one with the people that he was around. His whole Thug Life movement.
Anyway, you see this young thoughtful brother that thinks too fukking much and got famous and rich way too fukking fast...and then pissed off the wrong people.
Don't be victim to anger and aggression. Learn from Tupac.
