Better Actress: Angela Bassett or Lynn Whitfield

I was watching a video by FD signifier about black villains and somebody in the comments made a interesting point about how Bassett never played a Villian role

This is kinda a two part question, cause I can’t wrap my head around how/what kind of Villian she could portray

But it also got me thinking that Ms Whitfield ain’t nobody to sneeze at either.

Angela Bassett is better known and has shown a lot of range even if she hasn't played a villain.

Tom hanks isn't known for any villain character, i don't even know if he actually played one. Yet that mf has a whole Wikipedia article on all the awards he's won.

I'm convinced Lynn Whitfield wasnt acting in A Thin Line Between Love and Hate. Shyt damn near scarred me for life for any future role. The way her face was contorting in that shyt, you couldnt tell my that woman aint batshyt crazy irl. Salute to her though.

I wanted her so bad when I saw that movie. I know something's wrong with me and my love for crazy.
