better artist - faith evans or mary j?

personally i prefer mary j's music all together but i cant front on faiths voice or pen. I was watching an old interview when my life came out and mary said a new artist on bad boy named "faye" helped her write on it.

im 32 and shes 57. mary always had joints with rappers and she was in all the bad boy videos so when i was young i fukked with mary from that angle, and my ma listened to her on the regular. now marys old shyt is in regular rotation in my own crib.
