NYC. You can get everting there. I feel like LA is underrated tho. But I felt some kinda way when I was there and we were told we gotta go to that place Pinks for hot dogs
:heh:

We done flown across the country and the best thing they could suggest was hot dogs
:hhh:

This a good topic but I had to go with NYC.

Just because you can get ALMOST anything that’s good out in LA right in NYC. Plus in NYC you get some of the best pizza in the world on damn near every street corner.

NYC also more multicultural so you getting more variety. But LA got the best burger joints :noah:and you only finding better tacos in Mexico. Even the “mid” tacos in LA are like god tier in NYC.

Fine dining Id say is pretty even - you can get top tier world class experiences in both cities but NYC is so dense and LA is so sparse, you’ll have more options just being in Manhattan.

If we're talking the cities themselves, NYC hands down.

There's more variety of international food within walking distance in Queens alone than most of LA. And that's just one borough.

That said, I think LA's farm to table is better just off the back of California's produce and that's an underrated feature of its food scene.

Of course, Mexican is lightyears better in LA but that's just one cuisine. People are bringing up Asian food but NYC's Asian food in its city limits is actually better than LA's. There's no neighborhood in LA with Chinese food as great as Flushing's. And Indian food in LA is trash.

The Asian food advantage that LA has is actually in Asian dominated suburbs outside LA as opposed to the city itself such as the 626 or Torrance. But the actual city of LA doesn't have better Asian food than the actual city of NYC.

Edit: I'm sounding like 50 with all those "actuals" in the end lol.

lol @ yall equating asian food to chinese and japanese. NYC doesn't have the same diverity of asians that we do on the west coast - indian, chinese, korean, japanese, burmese, laotian, filipino, cambodia, thai, indonesian, malaysian food....CA wins the asian food battle hands down. that said, NYC makes up for it with caribbean and other latin american

LA is cool but . NYC is just a monster the Fusion cuisine alone is just Godly. And when it comes to traditional they got 10 of everything and there is always one open late. :banderas: . Whatever you feel like want Halal we got it. Want Japanese + Dominican fusion we got it. Want some traditional Colombian with flirty slutty waitresses (at least they are with me :shaq: ) . We got it.

I’m biased being a New Yorker but ny hands down. There’s just a lot more restaurants here with anything you can imagine. LA has the mexican food down though. It’s not that ny doesn’t have comparable mexican but it’s just not as plentiful than la.
