Between the new Spider-Man and upcoming Flash movie is Hollywood cheating with nostalgia

Spider-Man wouldn’t have been interesting without the nostalgia aspect of it and it seems the only thing people care about on the upcoming flash movie is 89 Batman.

the plot was the collision of different universes. without it, it would have been a different plot/film so how can you ascertain it wouldn’t have been interesting?

I'll get cooked for this as well, but imo the movie was good, but when you pull away from the nostalgia factor the story was kind of a mess and inconsistent with other MCU logic. Still 8/10 movie to me, but this is one of the few times I forgave a story not making full sense because everything else was great.

Spiderman 2 is still better to me.

I don’t know if I’d qualify the flash as cheating. Those leaks make this sound like a train wreck.
