YAWN. They expected a recession this year as well, but nothing happened. These hedge fund managers and investment bankers are just here to make their pockets larger by guiding public discource. Fukkk them.
Wrong. Nixon, Reagan, and George W. Bush all had recessions during their 1st team and still got re-elected.
It's all about timing. People are relatively stupid and have very short effective memories. They won't judge you by what has happened over the course of your term, just by what has happened in the last year leading up to the election. Nixon, Reagan, and George W. succeeded because they still had 2-3 years left to go when their recessions ended.
Covid may have saved it from happening somewhat during those 3 years since
Mortgage Interst rates during covid were insanely low aand banks like BOA, Chase, Wells benefited greatly. Now those rates are triple, while housing prices are higher than ever
