The thing about Republicans and democrats is that they're both terrified of the fact that if Healthcare isn't linked to employment, people can't be forced to work jobs where they're abused. Healthcare funded by your tax dollars gives you leverage against employers.

The vision of the world that Republicans want is one in which an employer can even refuse to provide any health insurance and you're 100% on your own. The democrats want employers to be forced to provide health care. Both agree that workers shouldn't have leverage over their bosses and the ability to have full ownership of their labor. They agree that capitalism should be preserved, but disagree in how cruelly to punish workers.

Rail workers are striking to get 7 days of sick leave a year. 7 days off and they won't even give them that because they don't want the economy to slow down. Is that not a testament to how important the workers are if you're worried that a strike will hurt profits? By trying to stop this, aren't you proving the point that the workers are making which is that they deserve to be treated better? This is like having a goose that lays golden eggs and instead of keeping it happy so it keeps doing its thing, you abuse it and then get angry when it doesn't lay enough eggs or they aren't as big as before. You can't make it make sense. You understand that the workers participating in capitalism is important, but punish them for wanting the means to better do so.

Because it’s the truth.

If Democrats passed legalized weed, free college, universal healthcare, who and want party could stop them? I don’t know why this sounds ridiculous, this is what they run on.

It would not benefit them at all because what would they have to promise people?
And half of the country votes republican and that ain't going to change

If America had full Universal Healthcare, the amount of employees that would resign would make The Great Resignation look miniscule. That also would drive military recruits way down as well.

True prison reform. Police reform. Updated drug laws. Immigration reform. Laws that would destroy the systematic racism. Foreign policy that doesn’t have us dropping bombs all over the globe. Infrastructure issues that destroy water. Pollution. Funding for high speed rail. Eliminating cigarettes completely. FEDERALLY funding all schools equally. Training programs for teenagers. Closing tax loop holes. Stricter regulation of the SEC. Bringing back the child tax credit. MAJOR funding to find an alternative to electric batteries. Minimum wage.

This is just real quick to answer. I haven’t even really thought about it.
