Anybody that’s white who tells you they had no slave owners in their family doesn’t know how genetics work. You got 16-20 generations between now and when slavery started. That’s a lot of people and all it takes is one person coming into your family. It don’t matter if your relatives came into the country in 1950. 9 times out of 10, they married someone whose family has the ancestry (or their kids or their grandkids) and boom…slave masters in your family tree now.
