Big K.R.I.T -- Red Eye (Appreciation Thread)

This is one of the most well written songs this decade.

I know The-Coli is indifferent to "simp" rap ( ), but this is a great songs for anyone in the dumps.

KRIT's emotional is powerful on the track.

"Being friends would make it harder to breathe
So if you ready to fly, just forget about me
But if you willing to try then I'm willing to leap
Out of the window of pain and fall in love at your feet
I ain't the man you want me to be
I guess that's what's been bothering me"



The minimal piano-driven beat is almost back-ground noise, dominated by KRIT's depressed tone.


I vibe hard to this track, and when that piano solo hits after KRIT's done rapping, I get goosebumps. It's a gloomy, yet serene mood as if you are meditating on your own sorrows.

The lyrics are I assume about a girl.


But if they were about Jesus It would be a nice twist on the song. Unlikely though.
