Well if it's your opinion, why don't you state the reasoning behind it instead of making an outlandish statement like this?
Of course nikkas are gonna think you smoking crack just cause you posted 1 line from the album. nikkas probably high as fukk thinking that shyt was hot.
The line was okay and the album is dope and it really showed Big L's creativity and the darkness he displayed on the album making Harlem out like a war zone but it's still not better than Illmatic in any way, shape or form.
It doesn't have the dense storytelling that Illmatic displays, the lyricism doesn't stack up, the relatability, the PRODUCTION, the charisma and overall, it doesn't have any timeless records like Illmatic does (One Love, The World Is Yours, It Ain't Hard to Tell) and lastly, Nas has him beat in the world he created of Queensbridge. In each track, you almost feel like you're there with Nas or just chilling with him on the park bench and he's rapping to you all these tales about his hood. Big L did this too on Poor and Dangerous but not as well as Nas. Big L is a great rapper and lyricist but you was pulling shyt out ya ass in this thread .
