To be honest none, if any used illicit , evil and criminal ways to come up in society it shouldn't be heralded as something noteworthy, there are brothers who came up the hard working stand up right way, Lloyd austin black west point graduate, retired us four star general and former centcom commander, and now the first black defense secretary or a colin powell, or a denzel washington who broke barriers not petty criminals
Probably Malcolm or Martin or Frederick or Medgar or Baldwin or Dubois or Reginald Lewis or Madam CJ walker or John H Johnson or Berry Gordy or my great grandfather (not breaking the law and poisoning his own people, not raping people, being born in Alabama in 1909 and raising a successful generation of kids and giving me game as a kid i use to this day).....one of them get my vote probably

That would make Malcolm X a bit of a gray area then. Seeing his come up was crime and being criminal is certainly part of his success.
