i thought i remember hearing a few different times that pun was pretty big on doing punch ins instead of single takes. he was recording at a few different studios though so i'm not sure what they may have been using.

Pun def punched in. you can tell when a line starts before the last one ends or when his vocal tone completely switches. he still had great breath control for his size.

on his 2nd album it got really really bad. songs like Drop It Heavy also he was sounding like a fukkin lawnmower starting up it was sad. rappers definitely edit those out. some cats once i hear those gasps that becomes all i can hear when they rhyme.

Yeah that verse is amazing. if i was gonna put someone onto Pun i'm gona play John Blaze, Leatherface, Dream Shatterer (both versions), My World, Brave In The Heart. theres so many joints really you cant go wrong. his shyt is still very impressive to this day.
