yes they would...this would be the perfect opportunity to reinvest in NFL Europe

reinvesting in NFL Europe then paves the way for the first london team

first london team = Goodell being paid even more money

But gaaawd damn dude straight up just called the players bluff hardbody.
why would the NFL want to invest any money into a failing product? :dwillhuh:

breh, Europe does not care about football. And in England, its more of a novelty than taking in the game. That would be a failing product.

I agree with Delany tho. Shoot, set up football academies.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
can't believe you nikkas is feeling this bullshyt. The NCAA's are professionalized. These colleges and univeristies are "for profit" multi million dollar businesses. Coaches get paid million dollar contracts. This nikka simply don't want to share the profits reaped from these players. The idea is stupid. Nobody gives a shyt about a "minor league" farm system no more than they care about arena league football. NFL Europe folded because nobody cared and nobody watched. College venues and atmospheres > minor league games.

Because thats what the NFL wants. Their goal is to do this whole NFL team in europe thing. I don't agree with it, but if something IS approved where players can bypass college, how is this not the perfect set up?

I think we can all agree setting up an NFL minor league system in the US would fail miserably. There are football academies already in place. They're called military academies and junior college. The problem is players think the fans of the game care about them and their talents. No. Fans care about how you and your talents are going to help their colleges win. I'm not paying 1 cent to watch a minor league packers team. I can barely hold out for 4 preseason games. But suit that kid up in a nittany lions uniform and I'm throwing 100+ dollars down on my game ticket. Make it 200+ if its a bowl game.

Delany telling players to go to a football academy, is just his way of saying,"wait til your parents research the lives of minor league baseball players. See you for spring training champ."

these nikkaz out of high school are NOT going to Europe breh

:heh: thats why I said he called their bluff

It sounds all well and good but can you imagine how much of a crap shoot drafting someone out of high school would be?

Plus like others have said, most people won't give a fukk about some top pick from some random high school. What type of marketability would they have? Top Recruit at a Major Football Power>.

Pretty much. If there was ever a developmental independent league the players would get paid peanuts. I'm all for college athletes getting paid but Delany is basically telling these dudes they have zero leverage and take what you get: a tuition, living like big man on campus for a few years, fukking all types of bad bytches and showcase your talents for the pros

It is what it is, life ain't fair :yeshrug:

This is the thinking that ultimately keeps players that wanna get paid instead of go to school in college away from going overseas in basketball.
