Time and time again we have a bunch of young brehs and brehettes here scared about the future, and rightfully so. Lets share our experiences of times we rolled the dice in our 20's, whether we came up good or bad (learned a lesson). I'll start.

I'm 25, but at 24 I traveled to SXSW while unemployed using nothing but my savings. At the time I was feeling really uncertain about where and what I wanted to do with my life. I had quit my first job post-college because it was extremely toxic and distracting from my grad studies. Traveling while unemployed had me shook tbh, and while I didn't get an answer to my life path by going to Austin, it was still a great and dope experience to be surrounded by ambitious energy from all around the world. Met people from different states and different countries. Thankfully, I'm going there again next week and this time, one year later, with some funds in my pocket.

It’s four things for me:
1) Quitting my most recent job and going into freelancing for now. Money’s slow rn but I’m happier

2) Deciding that I’m not going to grad school and that I’d rather get a cert while I’m in undergrad. So I’m basically reconfiguring my whole career trajectory

3) Disobeying my family and ultimately choosing to live my own ambitions out

4) And it’s gonna sound corny but I’m finally being myself. I’ve struggled to accept myself for years and now I have and I feel so much fukking power and strength. I’m out here making money, seeing the world and living my dreams. My life is very meaningful rn

Still not even 24 but one of the bigger mistakes for me was not being intentional with certain things.

Work, school, housing, finances, relationships etc

I kind of let life happen and let things run their course. Now that I look back, had I owned certain aspects of my life, I’d be in a different place.

There’s a difference between being patient and doing nothing. Many times I found myself doing the latter.

Going through the motions but without defining why I was doing certain actions.

EDIT: Biggest risks. Probably getting so trashed at my cousins wedding to the point that I didn't even know I tried to drive home. Woke up in my car only to find out I wrecked it but was perfectly safe. I was shook. I was in a dark place at the time hence me drinking like a fish.

Started several businesses, helping others start businesses and watch most of them fail/burn to the ground or quickly market niche was no longer there.

Going to school, working full time, running businesses all at once, sleeping 3-4 hours a day.

Applying to 5-10 year experience jobs right out of college, those interviewers used to look at me like we only brought you here to see why you believe you deserve this position :gucci:

Buying a sport car that was 4/5 of the value of my first home. The day my dad was ready to disown me. That bank should of closed after that day. :mjlol:
Living between 3 different states all at once, the experience, the fukkery, the women :ahh: the expenses :picard:
