these are facts

the typical "lyricist" is someone who will give u a classic radio or mixtape freestyle/verse with hot lines and/or flow (think prime wayne or something)

not someone whose verse ur gonna think about deeply and do homework on, studying its hidden meanings
then try to convince people that its good even tho u don't understand it (nazz)

Both albums were 10/10 :what:

The thing was that Nas got 5/5, Biggie got 4 or 4.5/5. So in that regard, it was weird that Nas didn't win. But like any award, who the peoples fukk with will always have an edge and Nas was nothing compared to Big in the streets or commercially. Specially not down south and out west.

Ha, the culture rewarding lyricism, we would never see that today.
That's why Kendrick Lamar, Drake and J. Cole move most units in the game :jbhmm:

That's why Run The Jewels 2 was the #1 album of all genres in p4k last year and Kendrick this year :jbhmm:

Or why BET hiphop awards has an award called "lyricist of the year" :jbhmm:
