i've always felt those bars on that song should have been on another beat.
it doesn't take away from the song, Respects beat or the lyrics but theres just always been something in my head that's thought
if those bars were on top of a different beat more akin to Everyday Struggle people would quote them more.

really? Not to me, those bars and the way his voice sounds is perfect over that beat with those drums/riffs. The chorus isn't my fav, but BIG outshines it

yup and i came to this realization earlier this year. i always been a fan of b.i.g but listenin' to him earlier this year, it just hit me; just how ahead of the game he was in the 90's and how his music still stands the test of time today, he's the goat in my eyes. street songs, club joints, intro/retrospective songs etc etc. bruh could do it all with the music with the help of puff who helped him expand his sound musically
