Just because he wrote a book on basketball, does not make him knowledgeable about it.
Did I write that in my post? Because I'm trying to find where you would come up with something that stupid as a rebuttal to what I posted.
If you've ever watched Bill Simmons in an open "roundtable" type discussion among some of the games legends you would know that he has knowledge of basketball that is superior to most of the analysts you see on TV today. He knows about games and players that you or the average fan would not have any knowledge of.

True. He is very sports nerd style. But at least he does bring some kind of presence of knowing his shyt though. I can't see what Wilbon or Magic bring to the table really. Anytime Wilbon does bring up some kinda knowledge it always seems like it was handed to him from some statboy that stands off to the side of the set. Just my opinion though. And I dont think I really have to say why Magic isnt a good analyst, when the lack of analyzing anything speaks for itself.

Every time I see any clip from The Magic Show it reminds of those Magic skits from MadTV, man they used to clown Magic so hard back then.

this to me is their biggest problem.
no one, no matter who's put in there, is going to do because of who he is.
whenever simmons has tried to question him, magic goes into the defensive "you've never played the game" route. he makes the show even more awkward than it should be.

...I can't think of another analyst crew where one dude gets treated as god the way Magic does
...and it even happened when he wuz on tnt he bought the show down bcuz they wuz so in awe and didn't feel like they could challenge or make fun of him
....he's simply too big for this shyt,the respect you can't help but have for magic paralyzes his peers from being able to do they jobs properly....I see many of u nikkas managed to shyt on a legend without blinkin a eyelash
....u try to give sum analysis and challenge his opinion in real life nikka,ud probaly be hearin the "are u ready for Magic?Maaaaa Giiiiiic" theme song from his talk show in ur head wonderin why ya lips ain't movin...that's still Magic I don't care how basic his analysis might be,his game wuznt ordinary brehs
